Why clients work with us
Our team has managed project controls on major refinery, LNG, pipeline and infrastructure projects. We use proven methods such as earned value management and DCMA 14-point schedule checks, keep stakeholders informed at every stage, and build schedules that stand up to client, lender and auditor review.
Project management consultancy (PMC) and EPCM
We act as the owner's team or strengthen yours, setting up governance, procedures and controls so the project is run on facts, not optimism.
- Owner's PMC: contract strategy and packaging, tender evaluation support, contractor supervision and progress verification.
- EPCM support: engineering and procurement management, interface and change management, construction and commissioning oversight.
- PMO set-up: organisation, roles and procedures, reporting cycles and KPIs, document control and records.
- Governance and assurance: stage-gate and readiness reviews, independent project health checks, lessons learned and close-out.
Engagement options include a full PMC team, specialists embedded in your organisation, part-time senior advisers, or remote project controls support.
Project controls methods and tools
- Planning and scheduling: WBS, baseline and integrated master schedules, look-aheads, updates and recovery schedules in Primavera P6, using the critical path method.
- Cost and estimating: estimates, budgets, cash-flow forecasts, cost reporting and trend management to AACE classification.
- Earned value: progress measurement rules, S-curves, CPI / SPI and forecast at completion.
- Schedule quality: independent DCMA 14-point reviews of baselines and updates before they are relied on.
- Risk: risk registers and Monte Carlo schedule and cost risk analysis to set realistic P50 / P80 dates and contingency.
- Reporting: weekly and monthly reports, executive dashboards, and lender and board reporting.
Digital and AI-assisted project controls
We use analytics and AI-assisted tools for routine checks so problems are spotted earlier: automated logic and DCMA 14-point checks on every schedule update, live progress and cost dashboards, and AI-assisted review of correspondence, minutes and daily reports to flag change, delay and claim risks. Every finding is checked and signed off by an experienced engineer, and client data stays in agreed, secure environments.
Flagship project experience
